What we buy

Gold, silver, and platinum jewelry, even broken pieces. Diamonds. Coins and bullion. Dental gold. And sterling silverware.

What we don't buy

We don't buy costume or fashion jewelry. And out of respect for everyone involved, we only purchase items connected to a divorce once the divorce is finalized.

  1. 1. We look it over We clean each piece, test the metal, and screen diamonds to tell natural from lab-grown.
  2. 2. We weigh and compare We weigh everything and check diamonds and gemstones against comparable pieces and the current market. The comparison is in relation to diamonds/gemstones, looking for comparable options available from wholesalers.
  3. 3. We make you an honest offer You get a straight offer and the reasoning behind it, based on real weight, current market, and comparable prices.

It's important to know before we meet that resale or fair market value and retail value are not the same, and the market is ever-changing. The appraisal figure or the original cost of a piece rarely, if ever, correlates with its resale price. We will always explain how we arrived at the figure we offer.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to bring?

Bring the items and any paperwork you have. No certificates or appraisals? It all helps, though our offer is based on what we assess in person.

Will you be able to pay the appraised value?

No. The resale/replacement value on an appraisal is used to make sure you've got adequate insurance coverage to replace the piece in the event of loss, theft or catastrophic damage. That value doesn't correlate to fair market value.

Is there any pressure to sell?

Not at all. In fact, if I can tell that you're confident on wanting to sell something, I'll politely decline to purchase some day. Sometimes the best idea is to give the sale of items thoughtful consideration. I'll be here when you're ready.
